Patriots at 1,000

The Patriots – the Boston and New England varieties – played their 1,000^th all-time game (including postseason) on Sunday, Nov. 14 when they manhandled the Cleveland Browns, 45-7, at Gillette Stadium. It was 22,346 days since they played their first game 28 miles north at Boston University – a 13-10 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sept. 9, 1960. The Hall took a look back to see how the Patriots have fared in so-called milestone games such as this. We were a bit liberal early on counting the first, 10^th, 25^th , 50^th and 75^th as milestone games, but that’s how we approached it. We stuck to every 100^th game thereafter (except for 250th). The Patriots are 9-7 in the 16 games listed below – 7-3 at home and 2-4 away.
