Notable Items from 2017 Season on Display

The Patriots Hall of Fame presented by Raytheon is full of memorabilia and artifacts to walk you back through Patriots history. From its early struggles to its recent success, the Patriots have a storied history documented within The Hall. While all-time greats like Tom Brady and Bill Belichick assault the record books, they aren’t alone. The 2017 season has been successful from a team perspective, but individual milestones have been celebrated along the way.

Numerous records were broken this season, like Stephen Gostkowski’s 62-yard field goal in Mexico City vs. Raiders, which beat his previous franchise record, or Tom Brady breaking the NFL record for most regular-season wins (196) with a win over the Jets on Oct. 15, 2017. A game-used football  is on display in The Hall’s current era display case.

A more complete list of 2017 artifacts on display in The Hall is below:

  • Game-used football from the 36-20 victory over the Saints in New Orleans. During the game, Brady had his 52nd game with at least three touchdown passes and no interceptions, the most such games in NFL history. Brady is one of three NFL quarterbacks with at least 180 regular season career wins and he earned his 184th win against New Orleans. He finished 2017 with 196.
  • (On display at the Kraft Blood Center) Tom Brady’s game-worn jersey from the Patriots win over the Houston Texans on Sept. 15, 2017. Brady threw five touchdown passes for the 27th time in team history and has the third most games with at least four touchdown passes in NFL history. He also set an NFL record for games with four or more touchdowns and no interceptions (22).
  • Bill Belichick’s sneakers from his 271st career win as a head coach, which moved him past Tom Landry into third all-time on the head coaching list behind George Halas and Don Shula. The Patriots defeated the Raiders, 33-8, in Mexico City for the milestone win.
  • Rob Gronkowski’s game-worn jersey from the Patriots victory over the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 26, 2017. During the game, Gronk scored on 5-yard and 15-yard touchdown receptions. He now owns the Patriots record for most games with two or more touchdowns (16). Gronkowski also moved into the top 10 for receiving yards by a tight end on a 20-yard pass from Brady in the first quarter. He entered the game in 11th place with 6,715 and added 82 yards to move past Kellen Winslow (6,741) with 6,797 yards.
  • A football thrown by Brady to Gronkowski for their second touchdown connection in the Patriots 35-17 victory over the Dolphins on Nov. 26, 2017. This marked their 74th quarterback-to-tight end touchdown connection, the second most by a quarterback and a tight end and the fifth most between a quarterback and a receiving player in the NFL.
  • Gronkowski’s game-worn gloves and cleats from the Patriots nail-biting 27-24 win against the Steelers on Dec. 17, 2017. During the game Gronkowski set a career-high record with 168 yards receiving. Gronkowski reached 1,000 yards for the fourth time in his career. He joined Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten as the only NFL tight ends with four 1,000 yard seasons. The game also marks Gronkowski’s 26th 100-yard game of his career and the third of the 2017 season. The only tight end with more 100-yard games than Gronkowski is Tony Gonzalez with 31.
