It was late at night, about 2 a.m. or 3 a.m. in Germany. The Patriots were playing in Super Bowl LI. I was sitting in my room and the Pats had just been smacked in the first half. I had to get up at 6 a.m. so I knew I should go to sleep and not watch this blowout all the way until the end. But for some reason, I woke up too early – right in the middle of the fourth quarter. The Patriots scored and converted the two points to make it an eight-point game. I thought, “Man, this is going to be tight.” But I believed, at this point, that the door was cracked and the GOAT would get it done. I knew Tom Brady would finish what was obviously an amazing comeback, and, of course, he did. I only slept about one hour that day, but the fatigue was so worth it. I’ll never forget the German commentator’s words when James White took that toss from Brady and pushed across the goal line into the end zone. What a memory!
