My favorite memory has to be the 1985 AFC Championship Game in January of 1986. I was at the Orange Bowl covering the game for Channel 4 (WBZ-Boston). The Patriots were big underdogs to Miami, who had future Hall of Famers Dan Marino (QB) and Don Shula (head coach) on their side. The Patriots played with determination and emotion in breaking the Orange Bowl jinx – New England had lost 18 straight games in the Orange Bowl dating back almost 20 years. That team had great players and even better people. Andre Tippett, Pete Brock, John Hannah, Steve Grogan, Steve Nelson, Raymond Clayborn. We were broadcasting live from the locker room right after the game and I will never forget the emotion of those guys coming into the locker room after the game and the Patriots fans in the stands yelling Squish the Fish. In 39 years of covering sports, this was my favorite moment.
