2026 STEM Teacher of the Year Winners

Anna Seiders from Everett High School named 2026 MASSACHUSETTS STEM TEACHER OF THE YEAR

The Patriots Hall of Fame presented by RTX today announced that Anna Seiders has been selected as the Massachusetts STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) Teacher of the Year. Seiders teaches engineering and math at Everett High School in Everett, MA.  As this year’s recipient of honor, her school will receive $5,000 in her name to be used for STEM education. The winner will also be appointed to Governor Maura Healey’s STEM Advisory Council, chaired by Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll.  Funding for the award is provided by The Patriots Foundation.

Anna’s dedication to her students is amazing.  She believes in making STEM education accessible to everyone and empowers her students by pushing them beyond what they believe themselves to be capable of achieving.

“Whether it’s connecting with a student on a personal level or connecting them to authentic STEM experiences inside or outside of school, I see my students for who they are.” Seiders said, “Not every student is necessarily interested in STEM, but every student can benefit from a STEM education and that can be made accessible by providing opportunities that personally resonate with them.”

Through a network of relationships, Anna helps provide students with opportunities to support their learning through internships and job opportunities. She leads the STEM Club at her school, competing in Ten80 Education’s Racing and Autonomous Vehicle Challenges, earning multiple awards, top five finishes, and even the national title. Additionally, she works with Mass Learning Project as a Community Lead for Project Lead the Way leading professional development and connecting teachers to valuable resources.

Seiders was chosen from a group of five finalists. The other finalists will receive $1,000 for STEM education at each of their school’s courtesy of RTX.

Those teachers are:

  • Alyssa Darling – Granite Valley School (Monson)
  • Ashley Puopolo– Stoneham Central Middle School (Stoneham)
  • Jessica Sylvia – Dighton Elementary School (Dighton)
  • Demetrios Tyros – Gardner High School (Gardner)

Congratulations to Anna, the other finalists, and all the nominees. This is a well-deserved honor!
